All-Ireland Minor finals to continue to be... →
The tradition of live TV broadcasts of the GAA All-Ireland Minor finals in Irish will continue after an announcement by TV3 today. TV3 and its sister station 3e will provide a simulcast broadcast of the finals on September 4 (Hurling) and 18 (football).

Carlingford set to turn into ‘mini-Gaeltacht’ →
A VILLAGE in Louth is set to be transformed into an Irish-speaking ‘mini-Gaeltacht’ as part of the celebrations for Heritage Week 2011.
The cultural initiative will see Carlingford adopt Gaeilge as its first language for the week running from August 21-28.
Locals and visitors are being urged to speak Irish in the medieval village, even if their knowledge only stretches to a cupla focal.

2011 Manchester Irish Language Writing Prize →
As part of the 2011 Irish Language Arts Festival we are running an Irish Language writing competition. Entries can be in the form of fiction, non-fiction or poetry but must be less than 3000 words in length. A judging panel will select a shortlist and the chosen poet for this years festivla wil then decide the winner.
