Sure…lets all start speaking an caighdean oifigiuil and talking exactly the same, like robots. Who needs diversity? Psh.
By the way, I have to mention, that although I’m entirely self taught, and am most comfortable and familiar with a Donegal/Gweedore dialect, I seem to have very very very few problems understanding RnaG and TG4 programmes, despite speed and dialects (with the exception of some very heavy Connemara accents).
So, rawr.
Perhaps just introducing a few programmes specifically geared toward learners, or people who don’t have much knowledge of the specific dialects, would be a good idea.
